A battery stores the energy from the solar panels so it can be used later or during an outage. In hybrid systems we install BYD Battery-Box Premium batteries.
Solar energy not used during the day is stored in the battery. When solar production is insufficient or the grid goes down, the system uses the stored energy.
BYD is one of the world's largest battery manufacturers. The Battery-Box Premium range is a cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) modular battery that grows by adding modules.

Get a free calculationHigh-voltage (HV) batteries, HVS and HVM, work with three-phase hybrid inverters (Solis S6-EH3P, Growatt SPH TL3 BH-UP). The low-voltage (LV) LVS range connects to single-phase hybrids (Solis S6-EH1P, Growatt SPH). The combination and capacity are set during design, based on the appliances to be backed up.
