LA Solar

Frequently asked questions

01 How much does an X kW solar system cost?

The cost depends on several factors: mounting type, roof type, chosen equipment and any additional work. As a guide, current offers are 750,000 AMD for a 4.1 kW system, 1,350,000 AMD for 7.4 kW and 1,950,000 AMD for 10 kW. The exact price is determined after a preliminary assessment.

02 Are prices the same for cash and installment purchases?

No. With installment or credit options, the bank's commission may be added to the total price.

03 For how many years can I get an installment plan, and at what rate?

Financing is available for up to 8 years. The interest rate is usually about 9.5–15% per year depending on the bank, the program and the client's credit terms.

04 Which banks and financial institutions do you work with?

We work with a number of banks and financial institutions, including ACBA Bank, Armeconombank (AEB), Converse Bank, Ameriabank, Fast Bank, Arm Leasing, Agro Leasing and ACBA Leasing.

05 Which solar panels and inverters do you install?

We use Solis and Growatt inverters, for which we are the official representative in Armenia. The solar panels are LA Solar's own latest-generation branded panels. They are also made for the US market and comply with international requirements and standards, including UL, IEC, CE, ISO and EAC. In hybrid systems we install BYD Battery-Box Premium LiFePO4 batteries.

06 How many kW is one solar panel?

It depends on the panel model. For example, a 630 W solar panel equals 0.63 kW.

07 Do you sell individual solar panels?

Yes. We sell directly from the factory, both solar panels and other solar system components.

08 What terms do you offer businesses?

Business clients have access to preferential financing programs at about 0.5–9.5%. Under some programs cashback of up to 15% is also possible. Specific terms depend on the financing program in effect at the time and the client's eligibility.

09 How many kW would you recommend for an X m² area?

The required capacity is not determined by area alone. Our engineers calculate capacity from your real electricity consumption (monthly kWh or amount paid) and the electrical equipment you use and plan to use.

10 How many kW can fit on an X m² area?

It depends on the panel model, the shape of the area, location, roof characteristics and mounting method. Our engineers make the calculation and propose the most efficient use of the space.

11 What does your offer include?

A solar system is not only panels. We offer a complete solution that may include solar panels, inverter, high-quality cabling, steel or aluminium mounting structures, lightning protection, grounding, safety boxes, switchgear and other required components. The offer also includes design and installation, commissioning, monitoring, service and the relevant warranties.

12 How many panels does an X kW system include?

The number of panels depends on the panel power. For example, a roughly 10 kW system needs about 16 panels of 630 W or about 24 panels of 410 W. The final installed capacity may differ slightly depending on the configuration.

13 Do you offer fully off-grid systems?

We currently offer grid-tied and hybrid solar systems. We do not offer fully off-grid systems.

14 How do I know what capacity I need?

Our engineers analyse your current consumption and also account for planned growth. For example, if you plan an electric car, heat pump, additional air conditioners or other high-power equipment, these are included in the calculation. The optimal capacity is determined from this data.

15 Does a higher-wattage panel mean higher quality?

No. Panel wattage by itself is not a quality indicator. One of the main differences between panels of the same technology and different wattage is their size. For example, a 410 W panel may be about 1.9 m² and a 630 W panel about 2.7 m². Panel quality should be judged by technology, efficiency, materials, certificates, manufacturer and warranties.

16 What warranties do you provide?

LA Solar systems come with a 30-year factory warranty on solar panels, a 5-year warranty on inverters, a 2-year warranty on cabling and switchgear, and up to 25 years of service.
